IPTV Subscription Pricing Explained: What You Really Pay
How IPTV plan pricing works: monthly vs multi-month plans, the real cost per month, how savings are calculated, and the extra costs worth checking before you buy.
Quick answer
IPTV plans are priced by duration, so compare the monthly equivalent, not just the total. Our plans cost €10 for 1 month, €25 for 3 months (€8.33/month), €35 for 6 months (€5.83/month) and €55 for 12 months (€4.58/month). Savings are measured against buying the €10 monthly plan repeatedly. Also budget for player activation and, if needed, a streaming device.

IPTV plans are usually sold by duration — one month, a few months or a full year. The headline price is easy to compare, but the number that really matters is what you pay per month and whether there are extra costs. Here's how to read IPTV pricing properly.
Total price vs monthly equivalent
The monthly equivalent is simply the total price divided by the number of months. Using our own plans as an example:
| Plan | Total | Per month | vs buying monthly |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 month | €10 | €10.00 | — |
| 3 months | €25 | €8.33 | Save ~17% |
| 6 months | €35 | €5.83 | Save ~42% |
| 12 months | €55 | €4.58 | Save ~54% |
How the savings are calculated: we compare each plan with buying the €10 monthly plan repeatedly for the same period. Twelve monthly plans would cost €120; the annual plan costs €55, a saving of €65, or about 54%.
Same features, different durations
On some services, cheaper plans have fewer channels, lower quality or fewer screens. Always check whether that's the case. On our site every plan includes the same features — the only difference is how long it lasts and the price per month.
Which plan should you choose?
- 1 month — ideal for trying the service on your devices or for a single event.
- 3 months — a good middle ground if you're confident but don't want a long commitment.
- 6 months — strong savings with a moderate commitment.
- 12 months — the lowest monthly cost if you know you'll keep watching.
A sensible approach: start with a short plan to confirm everything works with your devices and connection, then move to a longer plan. Our plan comparison shows the maths for each option.
Extra costs to check
- Player activation. Some player apps, including IBO Player, require a separate activation per device. It's a different product from your IPTV subscription — see IBO Player activation explained.
- Devices. If your TV lacks a suitable app, a streaming stick is a one-off cost. See choosing a streaming device.
- Internet. 4K streaming needs a faster connection; check whether your broadband plan has a data cap.
- Currency conversion. Prices are in euros; if your card is in another currency, your bank may add a conversion fee.
Renewals
Check whether a plan renews automatically. Our plans are one-off purchases: nothing renews without you choosing to buy again.
Watch out for
- "Lifetime" offers — services can't realistically guarantee lifetime access.
- Pressure tactics — countdown timers and "only 2 left" banners on a digital product are red flags.
- Unclear refund terms — read the refund policy before you buy.
Why are longer IPTV plans cheaper per month?
Longer plans are cheaper per month because the provider gets a longer commitment and fewer transactions to process, and passes part of that saving to you. On our plans the monthly cost falls from €10.00 on the 1-month plan to €8.33, €5.83 and finally €4.58 on the 12-month plan.
The saving is not linear. Moving from 1 to 3 months saves about 17%, but moving to 6 months saves about 42% and to 12 months about 54%. That's why the 6- and 12-month plans are where most of the value sits for regular viewers.
What is the break-even point between plans?
Compare the longer plan's price with how many months you would otherwise buy. The 12-month plan costs €55 — the same as five and a half monthly plans. If you'll watch for six months or more of the year, the annual plan already costs less than buying month by month.
| If you'll watch for… | Cheapest option on our plans | Total cost |
|---|---|---|
| 1 month | 1-month plan | €10 |
| 2 months | Two 1-month plans | €20 |
| 3 months | 3-month plan | €25 |
| 4–5 months | 6-month plan | €35 |
| 6 months | 6-month plan | €35 |
| 7–12 months | 12-month plan | €55 |
This is simple arithmetic, but it's the single most useful way to choose a plan. Be honest about how much you'll actually watch.
Is a lifetime IPTV subscription worth it?
Be very cautious of "lifetime" offers. No service can realistically guarantee access for life, and if it closes there is usually no refund. A fixed-term plan with clear terms protects you better, and the 12-month plan already brings the monthly price down to €4.58.
How do you avoid paying for months you don't use?
Choose a plan that matches your viewing pattern and avoid automatic renewals you might forget. Our plans are one-off purchases: nothing renews unless you choose to buy again, so you can take a break over the summer and come back in the autumn without paying for the gap.
Make a note of your plan's end date when it's activated, or ask us on WhatsApp or Telegram, so you can decide in good time whether to renew.
Are there hidden costs?
Not in the plans themselves — the price shown is the price of the plan, in euros. The costs to plan for sit around it: a separate IBO Player activation if you use that app, a streaming device if your TV has no suitable app, possible currency-conversion fees from your bank, and a broadband plan fast enough for the quality you want.
Which plan do most people start with?
People new to IPTV usually start with a short plan to confirm that the service works on their devices and connection, then move to a longer plan once they're happy. That's the approach we recommend: one month costs €10 and tells you everything you need to know about picture quality, menus and stability in your own home.
Once you're confident, compare the 6- and 12-month plans. The difference between them is €20 in total but €1.25 per month, and the right choice depends on whether you watch all year or mainly in certain seasons.
How prices are shown on this site
All prices are in euros and include the full feature set. Each plan card shows the total, the monthly equivalent and the saving compared with buying monthly, so you can compare like with like. Checkout shows your order and total again before you pay. If anything is unclear, the FAQ and refund policy explain the details.
Do prices change after I buy?
No. The price you pay covers the whole plan period you bought. Because plans don't renew automatically, there is no surprise increase at renewal either — if prices change in the future, you'll see the new price before choosing to buy again. That predictability is one of the main advantages of fixed-term plans over open-ended subscriptions. You always know the total before you pay, and nothing is taken from your card afterwards.
Summary
Compare plans on monthly cost, check whether features differ between plans, and add up any extras like player activation or a streaming stick. Then choose the duration that matches how sure you are. When you're ready, see our pricing page.
