IBO Player on LG TV: Install & Setup (webOS)
Install and set up IBO Player on an LG Smart TV with webOS: finding the app in the LG Content Store, activation, adding your playlist and LG-specific fixes.
Quick answer
On an LG Smart TV, open the LG Content Store (or Apps), search for IBO Player and install it; webOS 4.0 or newer is recommended. Note the MAC address, arrange activation, add your playlist and restart the app. Turning off Quick Start+ helps when the app shows old data, and a 60-second power cycle fixes most crashes.

LG Smart TVs run webOS and offer apps through the LG Content Store (called Apps on newer models). IBO Player can be installed directly on many models.
Requirements
- LG Smart TV with webOS — version 4.0 or newer recommended.
- An LG account (some app stores require sign-in).
- A stable internet connection.
Install IBO Player on LG
- Press the Home button on your remote.

- Launch it from the Home launcher bar.
With the Magic Remote, you can point and click to type much faster.

- Open IBO Player and note the MAC address and Device Key.
- Purchase activation and send us the MAC address.
- Add your M3U link or Xtream Codes login as described in the main setup guide.
- Restart the app.
LG settings worth changing
- Quick Start+ (Settings → General → Devices → TV Management): if the app shows stale data after switching on, turn Quick Start+ off so the TV fully reboots.
- Auto update: keep webOS and apps updated under Settings → General → About This TV.
- Picture: choose Cinema or Filmmaker Mode for accurate colours; turn TruMotion off or to a low level for natural movement.
- Network: a wired connection is the most reliable on LG TVs, many of which have only Wi-Fi 5.
LG-specific troubleshooting
IBO Player doesn't appear in search
- Update webOS and check the country setting under Settings → General → Location (changing it can reset some settings).
- Older webOS versions may not list newer apps. Consider an Android TV device or Fire TV Stick.
App crashes or freezes
- Unplug the TV for 60 seconds.
- Delete and reinstall IBO Player (press and hold the app tile → delete).
Slow menus
- Close other apps from the recent-apps view.
- Disable Quick Start+ and restart.
Channels play without sound
- Settings → Sound → Sound Out: try TV Speaker to rule out soundbar issues.
- Set digital sound output to PCM for channels with audio formats your setup doesn't support.
